  Ingrid van Rensburg graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Music degree. Upon completion she obtained the Trinity College Licentiate Diploma on the Harp and the Piano, and a Higher Education Diploma from Unisa.
    
  After teaching at a private school for 10 years, Ingrid decided to venture on her own. Since 1994 she has been teaching the harp privately and freelancing playing the harp at weddings, private and corporate functions.
   
  Ingrid is the present chairman for the Harp Society of South Africa and has held the chair for the past 25 years.
   
  As from 2012 Ingrid has been voted in as the Chairman for the SASMT Johannesburg Festical for the advancement of music which is held at the WITS Education Campus, PArktown during July and August of every year.
